Live Tracker Pakistan 2026: what actually works, and the fake apps to skip.

You typed “live tracker” into Google. Truth is, most sites and apps that show up in results are fake or dangerous. This guide picks apart the myths, names the fake apps by name, and shows you the real free tools that solve the three things people actually mean when they search for a live tracker. No fluff. Just what works.

Everything you need in seven lines

  • No website can show a stranger’s live location from just their phone number. Not legally, not through any real database.
  • To find your own lost phone: use Google’s Find My Device (Android) or Apple’s Find My (iPhone). Both free.
  • To spot who’s calling you: use our free SIM Owner Details Checker, plus Truecaller for spam names.
  • To see SIMs on your CNIC: SMS your CNIC to 668 or open cnic.sims.pk.
  • To track a family member with their permission: Google Maps live location, WhatsApp live location, or Family Link.
  • Apps called Live Tracker XYZ, Live Tracker Pro, Live Tracker LT, and paksim.ga live tracker are all fake. Skip every one.
  • Using a fake “any number” tracker can put you in jail under PECA 2016 — up to 3 years.
01

What “live tracker” really means

Pakistanis search “live tracker” over 163,000 times every month. That’s a huge number. But dig into what people actually want and you’ll find they mean one of three completely different things.

First, they lost their phone. Or their kid’s phone. Or their car’s tracker went silent. They want to see where the device is on a map, right now.

Second, some unknown number keeps calling. Maybe it’s a scam. Maybe it’s someone they know. They want to know who owns that number before they call back.

Third, they want to see every SIM registered under their own CNIC. Maybe a friend told them somebody could have used their CNIC to buy a SIM. Maybe they just want to be safe.

All three of these are real problems with real free solutions. The problem is, when you Google “live tracker,” you don’t get the real solutions. You get scam sites and dodgy apps promising to do all three at once — plus impossible extras like “see anyone’s live location by typing their number.”

So this guide takes each of the three real needs and shows you exactly what to do. Then it names the fake apps clogging Google, so you know what to avoid.

02

The big lie — “track any number, see anyone”

Before we get to real solutions, let’s kill the biggest myth. Every fake “live tracker” runs on the same false promise: type any phone number, and instantly see the owner’s name, address, photo, and live location on a map.

None of that is possible. Not for you. Not for anyone outside law enforcement. Here’s why.

Myth “Enter any number, see live map”

Fake trackers claim to pull a live GPS pin from the mobile networks. They show fake map screens with random pins to look convincing.

Reality GPS lives on the phone, not the number

Location sits inside the phone itself. To see it, you need access to the phone’s Google or Apple account — not just the number attached to a SIM.

Myth “Full owner details — name, CNIC, address”

Fake sites promise a full identity dossier for every number in Pakistan.

Reality SVMS is a private government database

PTA’s SIM database has zero public search. Only the CNIC holder can check their own record — nobody else’s.

Myth “100% legal, PTA-verified”

Fake sites paste “PTA compliant” badges and PECA 2016 mentions next to their search box.

Reality PECA 2016 makes these sites illegal

The very law they cite is the one that bans what they offer. Using them exposes YOU to up to 3 years jail — buyer, not just seller.

PTA has already blocked more than 1,400 fake tracker sites. New ones open every week under new names. The technology behind the false promise never becomes real just because someone launches a new website claiming otherwise.

Real way #1 — find your lost phone

Your phone is lost, stolen, or you left it somewhere. Real live tracking exists for this exact case. Google built one for Android. Apple built one for iPhone. Both are free. Both actually work.

ANDROID · GOOGLE

Find My Device (for Android phones)

FreeAndroidReal-time map
  1. On any browser (your laptop, a friend’s phone), go to android.com/find.
  2. Sign in with the same Google account that’s on the lost phone.
  3. Google shows the phone’s live location on a map. Usually accurate within a few metres.
  4. Three action buttons appear: Play sound (rings the phone even in silent), Secure device (locks it and shows a message), Erase device (wipes all data).
  5. If the phone is offline, it shows the last known location.

Only works if you turned it on earlier. Go to Settings → Security → Find My Device right now, on the phone you have, and make sure it’s on. Don’t wait until you lose the phone.

IPHONE · APPLE

Find My (for iPhones)

FreeiPhoneWorks even offline
  1. Go to icloud.com/find in any browser.
  2. Sign in with the Apple ID of the lost iPhone.
  3. View the live location on a map. Apple’s Find My network can locate the phone even when it’s off the internet — nearby Apple devices help pass its signal along.
  4. Actions available: Play sound, Mark as Lost (locks with a passcode + shows your message), or Erase iPhone.
  5. Also works from another Apple device (iPad, Mac) using the Find My app.

Turn it on now. Settings → your name (top) → Find My → Find My iPhone → toggle on. Also toggle “Find My network” so it works when the phone is offline.

What if you never turned it on?If Find My Device or Find My iPhone was never enabled before the phone got lost, you can’t retrieve the live location. That’s the hard truth. But you can still block the SIM and the IMEI to protect yourself. Jump to section 04.

Lost phone action plan — the first 24 hours

Time matters when your phone is lost. Thieves move fast. Bank apps, WhatsApp, and JazzCash on your phone are goldmines. Here’s what to do, in what order, in the first 24 hours.

// first 24 hours after losing your phone
0 – 15 MIN
Try Find My Device or Find My iPhone

Ring the phone from a laptop. If someone in your building hears it, you might get lucky. Also lock the phone remotely to stop anyone from opening your apps.

15 – 30 MIN
Block your SIM

Call your network helpline from any other phone. Jazz: 111. Zong: 310. Telenor: 345. Ufone: 333. Tell them your SIM is stolen. They’ll block it in minutes.

30 – 60 MIN
Lock JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and bank apps

Call your bank and mobile wallets. Freeze the accounts. Change passwords from another device. Turn on WhatsApp two-step verification if you haven’t already.

1 – 3 HRS
Block the IMEI with PTA

Send your phone’s IMEI number to 8484. This blocks the phone from being used on any Pakistani network — even with a new SIM. Get the IMEI from your phone’s original box, or type *#06# on any phone you own from the same brand.

3 – 6 HRS
File an FIR at your nearest police station

Even if you don’t expect to get the phone back. The FIR protects you legally if the thief uses your phone for anything illegal. Keep a photocopy of the FIR — you’ll need it for insurance claims.

6 – 24 HRS
Get a new SIM with your same number

Visit your network’s franchise with your original CNIC. Ask for a duplicate SIM (“MNP retention” or “SIM replacement”). You keep your old number — the new SIM comes activated within an hour.

If you get a WhatsApp code SMS on your new SIMSomebody is trying to hijack your WhatsApp. Do not share the code with anyone. If they already got in, WhatsApp will kick them out the moment you sign back in on the same number.

Real way #2 — identify an unknown caller

Some number keeps calling. Missed calls. Maybe an unknown WhatsApp message. You want to know who owns it before you call back. Here are the safe, free ways to find out.

TOOL · FREE

Use our SIM Owner Details Checker

FreeNo signupBrowser only

Just type the number. Get owner details in seconds — network, activation date, verified public information. Nothing installed on your phone. Nothing saved on our side.

Open the SIM Owner Details Checker →

SMS · 667

Or send MNP to 667 (SIM-in-hand check)

Standard SMS costOnly for SIM in your phone

This one only works if you have the actual SIM. Put it in a phone, send the word MNP to 667. Reply tells you the network, activation date, and a masked CNIC.

What Truecaller can and can’t do

Truecaller is a caller ID app that shows names based on what other users have tagged. Useful for spotting scam and telemarketing numbers — millions of Pakistanis already flagged them.

What Truecaller cannot do: show a stranger’s CNIC, address, or photo. It’s crowd-sourced data, not the official PTA database.

Also try a plain Google search

Type the number in quotes into Google. Scam numbers often show up in complaint forums, Reddit threads, and Facebook posts from other victims. Free and takes 10 seconds.

If the caller is threatening or blackmailing youStop trying to identify them yourself. Call the FIA Cyber Crime helpline at 1991 or NCCIA at 1799 right away. They can get the real owner details through legal channels. See section 16.

Real way #3 — see every SIM on your CNIC

This is what “live tracker your SIM data” actually means in the search cluster — checking what’s on your own record. Which is one of the smartest things you can do once a month.

METHOD 01 · SMS

SMS your CNIC to 668

Cost ~ Rs. 2~30 sec reply
  1. Open Messages on any phone.
  2. Type your 13-digit CNIC. No dashes.
  3. Send to 668.
  4. Reply shows how many SIMs sit under your CNIC on each network.
METHOD 02 · WEBSITE

Use cnic.sims.pk (free)

Fully freeWorks worldwide
  1. Open cnic.sims.pk.
  2. Type your CNIC. Solve the picture puzzle.
  3. See a full breakdown with activation dates.
METHOD 03 · WHATSAPP

Track family — with their permission

Want to know where your kid is after school? Where your husband’s driver dropped the car? Where your elderly mom’s phone is right now? All of that is possible — as long as the other person agrees and sets it up on their end.

WhatsApp Live Location

Open any chat → attachment icon → Location → Share live location. Pick 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 8 hours. Free. Works both ways.

Google Maps Location Sharing

Open Google Maps → tap your profile → Location sharing → New share → pick contact and duration. Great for family or friends. Free.

Google Family Link (for kids)

Parents set this up on both phones. Shows child’s location, screen time, app blocks. Fully transparent — the child sees it too.

Apple Family Sharing

For iPhone families. Set up in Settings → Family. Includes Screen Time and location sharing across parent and child devices.

Don’t try to install spyware on someone else’s phoneInstalling a tracking app on your spouse’s phone, your kid’s phone (without their knowledge), or anyone else’s phone without their consent is illegal in Pakistan under PECA 2016 Section 24 (cyberstalking). Penalty: up to 3 years jail plus Rs. 1,000,000 fine. Use the consent-based tools above instead.

Fake apps named — XYZ, Pro, LT, paksim.ga

Now the ugly part. Four “Live Tracker” brands account for over 2,400 monthly searches in Pakistan. All four are fake. None of them do what they claim. Here they are, one by one, so you know what to avoid.

Live Tracker XYZ~1,100 searches/month

The biggest fake brand. Uses “xyz” domain suffixes because they’re cheap and unregulated. Promises to show any owner details, CNIC, and location from a phone number. Delivers either fake data or a page full of ads and pop-ups.

The site rotates domain names every few months as PTA blocks them. Sometimes shows up as “live tracker xyz online,” “sim live tracker xyz,” or just “xyz sim data.”

✗ Skip it
Live Tracker Pro~700 searches/month

Sold as the “premium” version. The word “pro” is used to trick people into thinking there’s a paid tier with better, real data. There isn’t. The paid tier delivers the same fake results, just after taking your money via JazzCash.

Often listed on random APK sites as a downloadable app. That APK is malware — see section 09.

✗ Skip it
Live Tracker LT~350 searches/month

The “LT” is short for “Live Tracker” — it’s just a nickname the same scammers use to look like a different brand. Same fake service. Same broken promise. Same risk.

When you see “LT sim data” or “live tracker lt online,” it’s the same crowd wearing a new label.

✗ Skip it
paksim.ga Live Tracker~300 searches/month

The .ga at the end is a free domain (Gabon country code) that scammers use because it’s cheap and hard to trace. Every legitimate Pakistani telecom service uses .pk or .com.pk. Never trust a “sim data” or “live tracker” site with .ga, .cf, .ml, or .tk in the URL.

✗ Skip it
If the app or site sits on a .ga, .cf, .ml, or .tk domain, close the tab. Every time.

What about names you’ll see on Play Store like “Live Tracker Pakistan,” “Sim Data Live Tracker,” “All Network Details 2026”? Same story. Almost every one is either malware or a fake ID trap. See what those apps actually do next.

09

What “Live Tracker APK” apps actually do to your phone

People search “live tracker sim data apk” over 5,400 times a month. They want a downloadable app. What they get, in almost every case, is spyware pretending to be a tracker.

Here’s a real permission audit — what these APKs typically ask for the moment you install them, and what each permission gives away.

// permissions requested by a typical “live tracker apk”
✗
READ_SMSReads every SMS on your phone — including bank OTPs, PTA codes, WhatsApp verification codes.
✗
RECEIVE_SMSGrabs new SMS before you see them. Enables silent OTP theft to break into your bank apps.
✗
READ_CONTACTSUploads your entire contact list. Every name, every number, gone.
✗
READ_CALL_LOGSees every call you’ve made or received. Full history.
✗
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONReports YOUR live location — not the target’s. You become the one being tracked.
✗
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOWLets the app show a fake screen over your real banking or WhatsApp — enables what’s called an “overlay attack.”
✗
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATSRecords which apps you use, when, and for how long. Full activity spy.

A real SIM check requires zero of these permissions. Any app that asks for even three of the above just to “check a SIM database” is malware. Uninstall it immediately.

Safe rule for SIM appsOnly install operator apps from Google Play or the App Store: My Jazz, My Zong, My Telenor, My Ufone, ONIC. If a link came via WhatsApp, SMS, or a tracker website — don’t install it. That link is the trap.

10

The “all network details” phrase — what it means

You’ll see “live tracker all network details” everywhere. It gets 2,200 searches a month. The phrase sounds official but it’s basically marketing filler used by scam sites.

What sites claim it means: “we can pull SIM details across every Pakistani network — Jazz, Zong, Telenor, Ufone, SCOM, Onic — all at once.”

What it really means: nothing. Because the official PTA 668 SMS already checks every network at once and gives you the count in one reply. That’s built into the system. No third-party “all network” tool adds anything real.

So when a site brags “check all network details live tracker,” it’s just repackaging what PTA already gives you free. Except the fake version comes with fabricated results and a CNIC harvesting trap.

The real “all network” checkSMS your CNIC to 668 — one reply, all six networks, all covered. Or open cnic.sims.pk for the same info with dates. That’s it. No app needed. No download.

11

Can you track someone by IMEI?

Short answer: only law enforcement can, and only for your own device via PTA’s DIRBS system.

Here’s what IMEI is and what you can actually do with it.

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It’s a 15-digit number unique to every phone. Type *#06# on any phone and yours will pop up on the screen. It’s also printed inside the battery compartment or on the phone’s original box.

What you can legally do with an IMEI

  • Register your own device — send the IMEI to 8484 on any Pakistani network. Free. Confirms your phone is PTA-approved.
  • Block a stolen phone — call your network or file a police FIR. They send the IMEI to PTA’s DIRBS system, which blocks it from every Pakistani network. Even a new SIM won’t work in it.
  • Check if a used phone is PTA-approved — before buying second-hand, ask for the IMEI, send it to 8484, and check the reply.

What you CAN’T do with an IMEI

  • Track someone else’s phone location just from their IMEI. No public tool does this.
  • See who owns any random IMEI. Ownership data is private, tied to CNIC in DIRBS.
  • Use “IMEI tracker” apps you find on random websites — they’re the same category of malware as “SIM tracker” APKs.
The IMEI check that everyone forgetsWhen buying a used phone, always send the IMEI to 8484 before paying. If the reply says “not compliant” or “blocked,” walk away — that phone is either smuggled or stolen. It won’t work in Pakistan for long.

What PECA 2016 says — the short version

Pakistan has a proper law that covers what you can and can’t do with someone’s phone or identity data. It’s called PECA 2016. Three parts of it apply to live tracker stuff.

SectionWhat it coversMax punishment
Section 3Getting into a protected system without permission3 months jail / Rs. 100,000
Section 16Using someone else’s identity info without permission — includes buying from fake trackers3 years jail / Rs. 5,000,000
Section 24Cyberstalking — includes tracking a person’s location without consent3 years jail / Rs. 1,000,000

The key rule: the law goes after both the site or app selling the illegal tracker service, and the person using it. You don’t get a pass just because you were the buyer. Section 16 explicitly covers “unauthorized use” — buying counts as using.

What is legal: checking your own record, tracking your own phone, sharing your location with someone who agreed. What is illegal: everything else.

15

Signs somebody is tracking YOU

The other side of the live tracker topic — spotting when someone else installed spyware on your own phone. This is a serious crime under PECA 2016 Section 24 (cyberstalking). Here’s how to spot it.

Spyware warning signs on your phone

  • Battery drains way faster than normal — even without heavy use
  • Phone gets warm when you’re not using it
  • Data usage spikes for no reason (check Settings → Data usage)
  • Unfamiliar apps in your Settings → Apps list (Android)
  • Unfamiliar profiles in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management (iPhone)
  • Random reboots, apps opening on their own, weird pop-ups
  • You see notifications appear briefly and disappear before you can read them
  • Your phone takes screenshots without you touching it (rare but happens with stalkerware)

What to do if you think spyware is on your phone

  1. Check the app list. Uninstall anything you don’t recognise or remember installing.
  2. Run a Google Play Protect scan (Play Store → profile → Play Protect → Scan).
  3. Change all your important passwords from a different device — Google, WhatsApp, banking, JazzCash.
  4. If spyware is confirmed, do a factory reset. Back up photos first. Everything else, reinstall clean.
  5. Report to FIA Cyber Crime. Call 1991 or NCCIA at 1799. This is a crime under PECA 2016.
If you’re in physical dangerEspecially in domestic-violence situations where a partner may have installed tracking apps. Reach out to Rozan (0304-1111744) or Madadgar (1098). Both are free and confidential. Get to safety first, worry about the phone second.

People also ask

What is a live tracker in Pakistan?

A live tracker means different things to different people. For most Pakistanis it’s one of three things: finding a lost phone, identifying an unknown caller, or checking SIMs on their own CNIC. Real free tools exist for all three. Websites promising to track any stranger’s location by number are all fake.

Is there a real live tracker that shows any number’s owner?

No. PTA’s SIM database has no public lookup — you can only check your own record. Every website that claims to reveal any stranger’s owner details is either lying, stealing your CNIC, or both. Using such a site can put you in jail under PECA 2016 Section 16.

Is Live Tracker XYZ real?

No. Live Tracker XYZ is a scam site rotating across .xyz and similar cheap domains. It shows fake data, harvests your CNIC, and often links to malware APK downloads. Skip it.

Is Live Tracker Pro any better than the free version?

No. “Pro” is just a marketing label to make people pay for the same fake service. The paid tier delivers the same made-up data. Never send money to any Live Tracker Pro seller.

Is Live Tracker LT the same as XYZ?

Basically yes. “LT” is short for Live Tracker — the same scammers use it as a nickname to look like a different brand. Same fake service, same risk.

Is paksim.ga live tracker safe?

No. The .ga at the end is a free domain from Gabon that scammers use because it’s cheap. All real Pakistani telecom services use .pk or .com.pk domains. Never trust any “sim data” or “live tracker” site with .ga, .cf, .ml, or .tk in the URL.

Can I download a Live Tracker APK?

You can, but you shouldn’t. Almost every APK marketed as a live tracker asks for permission to read your SMS, contacts, call log, and location. That’s spyware, not a tracker. Uninstall any such app you already have and use browser-based tools like sim.net.pk instead.

How do I track my lost Android phone?

Go to android.com/find on any browser. Sign in with the same Google account that’s on the lost phone. Google shows the live location on a map. You can ring, lock, or wipe the phone. Only works if Find My Device was turned on before the phone got lost.

How do I track my lost iPhone?

Go to icloud.com/find and sign in with your Apple ID. You’ll see the phone’s location — even when it’s offline, thanks to Apple’s Find My network. You can play a sound, lock it, or erase it. Must be enabled beforehand in Settings.

How do I identify who owns a phone number in Pakistan?

Use our free SIM Owner Details Checker — type the number, get owner details in seconds. For the SIM in your own hand, you can also send MNP to 667. For any other number, no legal reverse lookup exists — that’s protected by law.

How do I check my SIM data with CNIC?

Send your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) as an SMS to 668. Costs about Rs. 2. You’ll get a reply showing SIMs per network. Or open cnic.sims.pk in any browser — that one’s completely free and shows activation dates too.

What is “live tracker all network details”?

It’s marketing language used by scam sites. The real “all network details” check is just SMS 668 — it covers all six networks in one reply. Third-party sites don’t add anything real to this.

Can I track a phone with just the IMEI?

Not for location. IMEI is only used by PTA and law enforcement to block stolen phones from the network via DIRBS. If your phone is stolen, send its IMEI to 8484 or file an FIR — the phone will be blocked from every Pakistani network.

How do I find my phone’s IMEI?

Type *#06# on any phone’s dial pad. The IMEI shows up on screen instantly. Also printed inside the battery compartment or on the phone’s original box.

Can I track my child’s phone in Pakistan?

Yes, with Google Family Link (Android) or Apple Family Sharing (iPhone). Both are transparent — the child sees the tracking is active. Set them up on both phones. Never install hidden spyware on any phone, including your child’s — that’s illegal under PECA 2016 Section 24.

Can I share my location with family?

Yes. Use WhatsApp Live Location (any chat → attachment → Location → Share live) or Google Maps Location Sharing. Free, both ways, and you can stop sharing anytime.

Is Truecaller a live tracker?

No. Truecaller is a caller ID app based on names other users have tagged. It’s useful for spotting spam callers, but it doesn’t track location, doesn’t show CNIC or address, and isn’t connected to PTA’s official database.

Is Pak SIM Data live tracker legit?

No. “Pak SIM Data” is a common brand name used by dozens of fake tracker sites. Some have .ga or .xyz domains, others use .com — all promise the same impossible thing. Skip them and use PTA’s real free tools (668, cnic.sims.pk) instead.

What if a number keeps harassing me?

Block the number on your phone. Report to your network operator. If the harassment continues or involves threats, call FIA Cyber Crime at 1991 or NCCIA at 1799 immediately. Both have legal power to trace the real owner. Save every message and call log as evidence.

How do I know if spyware is on my phone?

Watch for fast battery drain, phone getting warm when idle, spike in data usage, unfamiliar apps, or random reboots. If confirmed, back up your photos, factory reset the phone, and report to FIA at 1991 — installing spyware on someone’s phone is a crime under PECA 2016.

Are fleet tracking apps for vehicles legal?

Yes, when properly installed by the vehicle owner with the driver’s knowledge as part of a business agreement. Companies like Track-N-Trace, TPL Trakker, and others operate legally in Pakistan. This is separate from “phone number tracking” and needs physical GPS hardware in the vehicle.

Can law enforcement track any phone in Pakistan?

Yes, but only under a court order and only for serious cases — kidnapping, terrorism, financial fraud, missing persons, cyberstalking. FIA and NCCIA request cell tower data from the operator. No civilian tool has this access.

What are the punishments for using fake live trackers?

Under PECA 2016 Section 16, up to 3 years in jail plus a fine up to Rs. 5,000,000. Section 24 (cyberstalking) adds another 3 years and Rs. 1,000,000 fine. The law applies to both the site running the tracker and the person using it — buyers are not exempt.

Where can I check my SIM safely and free?

Two safe places: PTA’s official portal at cnic.sims.pk (fully free, worldwide), or our free browser-based checker at sim.net.pk (no signup, nothing stored). For SMS: send your CNIC to 668, or send MNP to 667 for the SIM in your hand.

Do live tracker apps work for international numbers?

No. Even the fake ones only claim to work for Pakistani numbers. For international numbers, there’s no tool — fake or real — that shows owner details or live location. Reverse phone lookup services exist in some countries (like Whitepages in the US) but Pakistan doesn’t have one.
